Green banking and impact investment experts are the newest members of a Trade Advisory Group advising the government on trade deals during Brexit negotiations.

Dame Elizabeth Corley and Dr Rhian-Mari Thomas OBE are offering their expertise in the Financial Services advisory group.

Ms Corley, former CEO of Allianz Global Investors, currently chairs the Impact Investing Institute.

Launched in 2019, the Institute brings together two groups: the Implementation Taskforce for Growing a Culture of Social Impact Investing in the UK, and the UK National Advisory Board on impact investing.

Dr Thomas acts as Chief Executive Officer of Green Finance Institute, a government initiative promoting green finance.

Prior to this she has worked in multiple senior roles at Barclay’s, including as their Global Head of Green Banking.

The Trade Advisory Groups were established in July 2020 to meet the requirements of the Department for International Trade’s trade negotiations.
